I had the Batman. The jointed nature of this wall-hanging proved to be its undoing as my constant futzing with it to get just the right, perfect pose pretty quickly spelled doom for the arms.

Here’s what I sort of miss about the 70s era of toy-stuff. It was licences and properties and all, like today, but it was a lot more cowboy. Like, here’s a company with an ad that licences both Marvel AND DC characters and uses them in the same ad.

No way that kind of stuff  would come anywhere near flying today, with whole departments full of lawyers and brand-identity-managers and formalized character and property style-guides and whatnot.
