Creepy is as Creepy Does
Computers and automation make everything easier. Like stalking!
Do you use Facebook Places, Foursquare and Twitter? Do you have a vaugely tech-savvy obsessive ex-boyfriend/girlfriend or sworn enemy dedicated to your destruction?
If you have answered “yes!” to both questions, you should hope that they don’t become aware of a free Geolocation Information aggregator with the wholly appropriate name of Creepy.
When you tweet from your mobile device, upload to Flickr(or other image-sharing apps), or check in with Facebook Places or Foursquare, you’re placing pins on a map in the cloud of the internet. These pins don’t go away. Enter Creepy, which can compile and report on the most frequented locations of your prey.. er.. friends and create handy maps to find and ki–er.. meet up with them! When they least expect it.
I kind of admire the truth-in-advertising of the name the developer gave it. It’s freeware, so your potential stalker/abductor/Annie-Wilkes/Rupert-Pupkin doesn’t need to invest a dime to find you, wherever you are. Or at least, wherever you most frequently post from.
