I do not follow baseball, so I only know Jose Canseco as the twitchy, hulking  behemoth from Celebrity Apprentice.  And now, I know him as a real life supervillain, in the mold of the Fantastic Four’s arch-nemesis, Dr. Victor Von Doom.

From Dr. Doom’s Wikipedia page:

Doom’s calculating and strategic nature leads him to use “Doombots,” exact mechanical replicas of the real Doctor Doom, for many missions, typically those where he fears defeat. Sometimes the Doombots even believe themselves to be Doctor Doom.^[18]

Canseco has employed a similar strategy, sending off a genetic duplicate as a catspaw to do gladiatorial combat for cash prizes:

A representative of the firm Celebrity Boxing confirmed Sunday that Canseco was a no-show Saturday at a boxing event in Hollywood – and instead sent his twin brother Ozzie in his place, El Nuevo Herald has learned

Some 30 minutes before his bout against Billy Padden at the Passion nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, it was discovered that the Canseco who was in South Florida ready to fight was not the same guy who hit 462 homeruns in the Major Leagues.

Using this same evil power, Canseco could conceivably re-enact the plotline from the Stephen Segal action thriller MARKED FOR DEATH, which involved (spoiler alert) an evil voo-doo Jamaican druglord who used his secret twin to appear invincible to his underlings.
